01What it actually does
Most people picture an IMVU music bot as a stream you point at a room and forget about. This is closer to a station with a presenter in it. The live stream runs at a constant bitrate so everyone hears the same thing at the same moment, and the bot itself takes a seat in the room, wears an outfit you choose, greets people by name as they arrive, and answers when someone talks to it.
Guests run the queue themselves from room chat: request a track, see what is coming, skip, or resync if their phone fell behind. No app, no login, nothing to install. The full command list runs to 39 commands.
02The part most bots get wrong
📱 Mobile
Plenty of room bots stutter or drop the moment mobile guests arrive. iOS and Android are served on their own stream path here, and a permanent silence fallback holds the channel open between songs so the room never goes to dead air, and nobody gets dropped while it reconnects.
⚡ Speed
Cached songs start in about 60 milliseconds. Anything new streams in under two seconds, so the room hears music almost the moment someone asks for it.
03Two ways to run it
Web Radio 24/7
Other IMVU radio bots$10
$6/ room / month₹400
The station lives on the server and plays around the clock whether your PC is on or not. You control it from any browser or phone, and one account can run several rooms, each with its own queue, bot and links.
Live DJ App Sold out
$3/ month₹200
A Windows app for hosting the show yourself, with a live microphone, your own library, and a handover to the cloud when you are done.
Two rooms are $11 / ₹750 a month (others charge about $20), and every station streams at 128 kbps where many bots use 64 kbps. You can try it free for 1 day, or see the full pricing on the home page.
04Getting set up
We send the bot to your room, you make it a mod and type !install. It takes about two minutes. The step-by-step guide walks through it.
